Who we are

Link Age Southwark is a vibrant local charity providing support to over 800 older people in Southwark who are feeling lonely or isolated. Our vision is for friendly local communities where older people and those living with a diagnosis of dementia can thrive in their later years.

Our mission is to keep older people and those living with a diagnosis of dementia connected to their local community alleviating loneliness and reducing social isolation. We offer a range or preventative services that help to improve people's quality of life, their physical and mental health and wellbeing, and enable our service users to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

We provide:

  • One-to-one befriending visits
  • Additional needs support
  • Social, exercise and activity groups
  • Dementia services, including befriending and groups
  • Regular newsletter containing topical information and local activities
  • Parties and events
  • Digital buddies supporting people within their homes to increase their digital skills
  • Information & Support, including form filling and referrals via appointment
  • Intergenerational work with local schools

Our services are free to Southwark residents over the age of 60 or living with a diagnosis of dementia.
