The difference we make

We pride ourselves on being a local charity that makes a big difference.

We currently support over 800 older people and those living with dementia through the help of 300+ amazing volunteers.

In the last year, we supported 186 befriending relationships, ran 20 groups, completed 170 practical support tasks, helped 188 older people by providing information and support, and distributed our bimonthly newsletter to 742 recipients.

We conducted our annual survey in 2025 to ask the older people we work with what impact our services have on their lives. They told us that, because of our services, they feel less lonely, are more connected to their community and feel better able to manage living in their own homes.

We also asked our service users to tell us, in their own words, the main difference our services have made to their quality of life. They spoke about the joy of meeting new people, making new friends and having something to look forward to.

The people at Link Age Southwark are friendly, caring and genuinely seek the welfare of us participants.

If you'd like to find out more about the difference we make and hear what else our service users say, please read our Impact Report 2025.
