In a city as fast-paced as London, it’s easy to overlook those who aren’t rushing to meetings or glued to their phones. But just a short distance from our office, many older people — especially those living with dementia — are facing their days in silence, isolation, or confusion.

Link Age Southwark is changing that. They work to reconnect older people with their community through simple but powerful acts:

🎨 arts, music and movement sessions tailored for dementia
📞 telephone check-ins and emotional support
💬 volunteer-led conversation groups

What makes them special is that they treat their clients not as “service users,” but as individuals with stories, humour, and wisdom. Many of their beneficiaries say Link Age Southwark’s programs are the only time they feel seen or heard during the week.
